Case#2
History:
Young female with a small painful, pulsatile lesion
in the foot, first noted several years ago.
Imaging Studies:
- X-ray (2nd image): negative
- MRI (3rd image): T2 weighted image shows some
abnormal signal around the 5th metatarsal bone,
inconclusive
- MRI (4th image): Gradient echo image shows a few
bright signals in the area, suggestive a high-flow
lesion (AVM)
- Arteriogram (last image): AVM, arterail feeders are
from the anterior tibial artery
Diagnosis: AVM
Treatment: Transcatheter
embolization. No complication.
